These drils allow greater chip clearance and have less tendency to run out in deep hole drilling operations. As a result, hole sizes are more accurate. They can be used in drilling brass, copper, hard rubber, fiberglass and other materials. The open flute design allows the greatest volume of chip removal with high feed rates. They are also successfully used in shallow hole drilling of aluminum and magnesium alloys and die cast parts.
