Cast Iron Comparator Stand without Indicator. Bench type comparator gages are ruggedly built for in-process and final inspection work. The Starrett jewel-bearing dial indicator is mounted on a beam that can be adjusted vertically on an upright post. A knurled thumb screw locks the beam in any position, and a sliding ring with locking screw (below the
beam) permits swinging the indicator to either side. The ring also acts as a safety device, preventing accidental dropping of the beam. Fine adjusting knob is located on the beam. Lever on dial indicator can be positioned for left or right hand operation. A ribbed, precision ground, cast iron base measures approximately 8" x 9"( 200x225mm). 9-1/4"(235mm) maximum vertical capacity; 5" (125mm) maximum throat depth; 1/2" (12.7mm) vertical adjustment of indicator. Any AGD dial indicator or AGD electronic digital indicator can be interchanged with indicators listed.
