This tool is used to remove the driving tang of Coil-Sert™ inserts after they have been installed to eliminate their interference with the end of the assembled bolt. The operation of the tool is automatic, having a spring loaded punch that strikes a sharp blow against the tang of the installed insert. For larger size inserts use standard needle nose pliers to remove tangs.
